Making regulation the new norm…
With burnout on the rise, building a resilient nervous system isn’t just nice, it’s necessary.
Your nervous system controls almost every aspect of your life:
How you feel everyday from your energy to your emotions
Your ability to effectively discern, focus on a task and collaborate with others
Your capacity for joy, pleasure and presence
Your tolerance for uncertainty, conflict, and change
Imagine feeling capable and able to go after the life you most want. That’s the work of a resilient nervous system.
We're not just building a regulated nervous system, we're building a well-modulating one. What We DoThe Meeting is on a mission to get 25% of the world to start training a resilient nervous system. We do this through our gym, our donated classes, and our growing resource center.
❋ The 25% ClubThis is our nervous system gym. We offer classes 5 days a week using an evidence-based protocol to help our members effectively train their nervous system one “rep” at a time.
❋ The ImpactFor every 50 memberships, we donate a class to groups and organizations impacted by trauma.
❋ The Resource Center (Coming Soon)We’re building a resource library to empower everyone to work with their nervous system more effectively.
Meet Our Team
Hailey Hackett
Head of Operations | Co-FounderA past UCLA Health Integrative Medicine fellow, Hailey co-created a Whole Person Health model synthesizing campus-wide research and utilizing non-pharmacological interventions. Her focus in Communication Studies and current academic work in Psychology provide a foundation for building a movement around regulation.
This work has given Hailey the capacity to study more holistic modalities, travel the world, and cultivate soul-level friendships.
Head of Clinical | Co-FounderAshley Parrish (LCSW, LICSW)
An EMDR-trained therapist and advanced breathwork practitioner who has spent her career studying how people change —first through psychotherapy, and now through meditation, breathwork, and nervous system regulation.
This work has given Ashley the capacity to be a concert-going, paddle-boarding, cat obsessed, nature loving, mother of two.
Misconception #1 The Goal is Calm
Our program trains nervous systems to modulate effectively. That does not mean training our nervous system to be perpetually relaxed. Our nervous system allows us to act bravely when it feels safe — utilizing activation in a positive way.
The breakdown is when our nervous system is trained to fight, flight, fawn, or freeze instead of engage. Or worse, when our nervous system is perpetually on alert and our bodies cannot rest and recover effectively.
The Meeting does for the mind, what Physical Therapy does for the body. We help train a new way of moving through the world after injury. And mental injury happens when we’re young through trauma, or often as a response to an overstimulating world.
We help train new neural pathways, resource safety, and teach regulation tools to help the body learn proper form one rep at a time.
Misconception #2The Nervous System is Static
The nervous system can change with consistent practice, regulation, and intentional action. Our program follows a specific protocol to help our members build and train new neural pathways, resource safety in their bodies, and start seeing a difference in how they respond IRL.
Our program uses evidence-based targeted techniques to create real change.
Misconception #3You Can “Just Do It”
Pushing through can often cause more damage. We help our members identify their appropriate growth edge or window of tolerance to expand their capacity over time.
Our program is meant to be a tool for a lifetime of growth, innovation, and capacity — one that you can grow with as your life grows.
Misconception #4There’s One Winning Strategy
Different situations and states of being require different interventions. This is why we have three thoughtfully designed classes crafted to help with different goals. All of our classes aim to expose members to a variety of modalities so they can utilize them in their life reflectively.
